7 Business New Year Resolutions

25.01.2018 by Neville Hughes

Happy New Year from the team at GTC Financial, we hope you had a great Christmas and got a chance to have a break.

Our purpose is to help our clients to exceed their goals and achieve financial independence. Here are some New Year’s resolutions that will help make 2018 a successful year for you.

  1. Plan your Downtime

You can’t run a successful business if you are burnt out, to ensure you are completely energised you need to take some regular quality time off. With that in mind make sure you book your next holiday in your diary, while you’re at it why not book out time for other holidays you want to take this year.

  1. Improve your Skills

We live in the information age and there is a plethora of information to help us improve our businesses or to live more fulfilling and enjoyable lives. Take advantage of this information, read books, enrol in webinars, listen to audiobooks even watch YouTube clips.

  1. Delegate More

Not only will this free you up to take more time off but it will also develop your team. You can achieve this by writing more procedures for your business, maybe do this with the team members you are delegating to.

  1. Set up Key Performance Indicators

KPIs will help you monitor what is happening in your business.

  1. Free up Cash

We all know cash is king. Identify what’s locking up your cash, then set about freeing it.

  1. Focus on Investments away from your business

Investments are the key to financial independence. This could be a simple as taking more interest in what your super is invested in or increasing super contribution. Alternatively it could mean setting up a whole new investment plan. Make sure you get help from a financial planner.

  1. Develop a Succession Plan

You need to know your end game.  Whatever it is start planning for it now. It’s up to you to make it happen.

If you have any questions or want help with any of the above please feel free to send me an email or connect with me on social media.
