Carissa Cross

Carissa has a genuine passion for working in public practice, where her expertise shines in guiding businesses to financial success.
Her approach is hands-on, focusing on strategies that specifically cater to enhancing profits, bolstering cash flow, and ensuring that each business she partners with is well-positioned to achieve, and often exceed, their financial aspirations. She holds a deep-seated belief that every business possesses its own distinct identity, much like a snowflake's unique pattern.
This philosophy drives her to tailor her advice and strategies to the individual needs of each business, ensuring that they are not only nurtured according to their unique characteristics but are also set on a path of continuous growth and success.

Carissa enjoys spending her weekends with her family and loves gaming, fishing and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

Jody Smith

BBus(Acct) FCPA – Associate Partner

A proud graduate of CQ University with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and a distinguished Fellow of CPA Australia, Jody's commitment and expertise have consistently shone throughout her career.

Growing up in a small business family, Jody's passion for accounting and business blossomed early on. She enjoys forging connections with clients, guiding them through the financial maze, and nurturing their growth.

From tax accounting to business valuations, strategic planning and SMSFs, Jody's expertise spans a wide range of financial areas, making her an invaluable resource for both her clients and any boards or committees she serves on. Friendly yet professional, she brings a blend of warmth and competence to her work, ensuring her clients feel supported every step of the way.
When not at work, Jody cherishes the moments with her family, whether it’s lounging by the pool or shuttling her kids to their various sports and activities.

Michelle Drever

BBus(Acct), Client Manager

Michelle is a born & bred local and has been working in public practice in Gladstone since graduating. She has experience in many different industries and clients.
Michelle enjoys developing budgets and cashflows for businesses to help them grow their business and she loves seeing clients accomplish their goals.
In her time away from the office, Michelle enjoys spending time with her 2 children, horse riding or somewhere near the water.

Michelle Spann

Client Services Coordinator

Michelle is a long-time local and before joining the GTC team, spent a few years working in the UK. She is always looking for new creative ways to do things and enjoys making fun experiences for those around her.
In her down time, Michelle enjoys performing with Gladstone Performing Arts Company, particularly with their choir, Company of Voices. She was lucky enough to be a part of the West End Musical Choir in London, Performing at Disneyland Paris as well as for charities in Trafalgar Square.

Tiahnee Williams

Receptionist

Having completed her Certificate III in Business, Tiahnee now enjoys putting her knowledge into practice — from managing appointments and data entry to making sure clients feel welcome and supported. She takes pride in building genuine relationships with clients and contributing to the smooth running of the office behind the scenes.
Outside of work, Tiahnee enjoys reading and has recently been bitten by the travel bug — after visiting seven countries across Europe, she’s already dreaming of her next adventure!

Angela Cabral

Junior Accountant

Since joining GTC, Angela has enjoyed applying her university studies in a practical setting while continuing to learn and grow. She values the mentorship from senior team members, which has helped build her technical skills and deepen her understanding of the profession.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys reading, listening to music, and keeping active with Pilates and weekend walks with her dog, Coco. A lover of travel, she also looks forward to her family’s annual overseas adventures.
